NATIONAL GROUND WATER ASSOCIATION
The NGWA Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public educational foundation. Contributions are deductible charitable gifts. Established in 1994, the NGWA Foundation is focused on conducting educational, research, and other charitable activities related to a broader public understanding of groundwater. The NGWA Foundation is operated by the National Ground Water Association.
THE PRIVATE WELL CLASS (Article)
The Private Well Class recently interviewed DEC's Hydrologist, Charley Palmer, about private water wells in Alaska. Charley spoke about how stakeholders in Alaska have been voluntarily working together to protect groundwater and raise awareness on various issues and concerns.

DEC Drinking Water Program
Our mission is to protect public health by ensuring that all people have access to safe drinking water. We work with public water systems to help them remain in compliance with state and federal drinking water regulations to prevent waterborne disease outbreaks and exposure to other drinking water contaminants.
